LMI load testing and certification

Alan is a registered Lifting Machine Inspector (LMI) with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA), thus we are able to provide certificates of conformance for load testing that we perform on overhead cranes, hoists, mobile cranes, manual chain hoist, lever hoists, steel wire rope slings, nylon slings, tirfors, snatch blocks, shackles, beam clamps, crawl beams, anchor points, eye bolts, beam crawls, rope blocks, air winches, electric winches, hydraulic winches, etc.

This ensures that you are inline with legislative requirements and that a competent person is responsible for the correct and safe function of your lifting tackle.

The LMI certificates and all trade test certificates to ensure your safety and competence of our employee’s are available by arrangement.

Splicing

We provide a service which is dying out, this is specifically manual splicing of fibre and steel wire rope for all applications. The splices we can provide are long splices, short splices, back splices, eye splices, grommets, Liverpool and Admirility. Other splicing methods include alloy ferrule splices and cast epoxy resin splices. These splices ensure a solution to the application you have in mind be it a cable way or shaft cage hoist rope.

Steel wire rope supply

Please enquire if you have any needs for steel wire rope or natural or synthetic fibre ropes.

Any size and required steel wire rope request can be fitted, from left hand lay, right hand lay to non spin steel wire ropes. The choices of rope are vast from stainless steel, galvanised, ungalvinised, steel core, fibre core, etc.

We can make up slings to your specifications. Hoist ropes and installation are available as the ropes are made up supplied and installed on your crane, dragline hoist, cable way, haulage device etc.

All steel wire rope products are supplied with manufacturers test certificates for tracebility.
